Connecting your Eventbrite account to TRG/Purple Seven
You will have received details of your TRG/P7 user account from a member of the TRG support team. If you have not, please contact [email protected].
In order to connect your Eventbrite account, you must authorize the connection using the OAuth system.
OAuth is an open-standard authorization protocol or framework that provides applications the ability for “secure designated access.” It's an authentication protocol that allows you to approve one application interacting with another on your behalf without giving away your password.
Preliminary Steps
Due to a long-standing issue with Eventbrite, you must ensure you are logged into Eventbrite by navigating to https://www.eventbrite.com/account-settings/ before following the steps below.
Login to App1 and add the connection
Navigate to https://app1.purpleseven.com and log in with your TRG/P7 user credentials (not your Eventbrite login, this won't work).
Click the top right User icon and then click 'Manage Integrations'
Click "Setup new Integration", then "Ticketing", then "Eventbrite", then "Add Eventbrite"
At this point you will be redirected to Eventbrite. Accept the Eventbrite notification by clicking 'Allow'
You will now be redirected back to App1. Your OAuth token will be automatically inserted into the form. Leave the Organisation Id field blank, then click the green 'Save' button, then click 'Yes' to the confirmation that pops up.
You will see the following in the Integrations Manager. Your connection is complete and you can now log out of App1 and Eventbrite.
